Nadejda Koseva's debut feature received nomination for European Discovery - Prix FIPRESCI by European Film Academy
European Film Academy and EFA Productions announced the nominations for European Discovery - Prix FIPRESCI category. We're extremely happy that the debut feature by Nadejda Koseva „IRINA“ is among the nominated features.
The nominated films will soon be submitted to the more than 3,600 EFA Members to elect the winner. The European Discovery 2019 – Prix FIPRESCI will then be presented at the 32nd European Film Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 7 December, in Berlin.
The other nominated features are „Aniara“ (Sweden, Denmark), directed by Pella Kagerman & Hugo Lilja, „Atlantics“ (France, Senegal, Belgium), directed byMati Diop, „Blind Spot“ (Norway, Denmark), directed by Tuva Novotny, „Les Misérables“ (France), directed by Ladj Ly, „Ray & Liz“ (UK), directed by Richard Billingham.
„IRINA“ will have one exclusive screening on October 22 at 8 PM at Cinema House as the part of the main creative team will share the experience with the audience. Q & A session will be held after the screening with the director (also one of the screenwriters) Nadejda Koseva, the actors Martina Apostolova, Hristo Ushev, Irini Jambonas, Kasiel Noah Asher, Alexander Kosev, Krassimir Dokov, the producer Stefan Kitanov.
The film will start its distribution in Bulgarian cinemas on October 25.
