The first Bulgarian film about the struggle of the Macedonian Bulgarians. The fate of a simple man, Dilber Thanas, turned from ignorant shepherd into a thinking man and a companion of famous leaders is a metaphor for our common history in which human drama and political games change the original idea of struggle and its meaning.
A digitally restored version of the movie will be shown. This process is the result of scanning the entire negative and cleaning it thoroughly. It was then re-calculated, new color corrections were made and the exposure of the frames was adjusted by adding visual effects to enhance the picture and improve its quality. The movie will also feature a brand new sound, reformatted into stereo 5.1, with added sound effects.
